LuxRoads+ Terms of Use

LuxRoads offers the subscription service LuxRoads+, providing access to additional features. Those features currently depend on the platform.

Apple platforms:

• Lux View: Countrywide view of all controls and disturbances at the same time.

• Home News: Get automatic push notifications for reports in your home area.

• No advertisements.

Android:

• Access to current controls and disturbances simultaneaously.

• Access to frequent controls based on data of the last 12 months.

• No advertisements.

LuxRoads+ is offered as an auto-renewing monthly subscription tied to an Apple ID or Google Account. Payments will be processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store using the payment method linked to the user’s Apple ID/Google Account. You may access the applicable “in-app” purchase rules directly from Apple’s or Google’s own Terms and Conditions. LuxRoads+ can be cancelled by going to the respective subscription management pages in the App Store/Play Store.

Privacy Policy

The service LuxRoads, incorporated in the related iOS and Android apps, takes user privacy very seriously.

• This starts with the policy that no user account or any user data is required to operate the service, creating the advantage of a quicker start for the user when first launching the app. An optional username, which does not necessarily need to reflect the user’s real name, can be selected if desired.

• LuxRoads requires location services to operate. The obtained location data is never sent to a server (never leaves the device), collected in some way or used for any other purposes, other than the ones listed below:

  • Foreground location servies

    • Show user location on map.

    • Detect user proximity to map locations.

  • Background location services

    • Detect user proximity to map locations.

• All data points that are being sent to a server are completely anonymous and can be split among two different categories:

  • The minimum necessary data to be able to run the service (e.g. controls shared with all the other users).

  • A small amount of analytical data (number of user sessions and ad impressions, user preferences, app version, platform, … )

• Apple platforms only:

  • No third party framework is part of the app binary, reinforcing the focus on privacy and transparency.

• Android only:

  • Advertising inside the app is based on AdMob. Please refer to the AdMob privacy policy.

  • Analytics inside the app is based on Firebase. Please refer to the Firebase privacy policy.
